Course Overview
This event is designed to promote TECAR therapy clinically and expand its adoption across Puerto Rico—starting with Physical Therapists (PT CEU is approved). Chiropractic CEU approval is currently under review.
Across the weekend, you’ll move from foundational sports injury science into practical TECAR application—then into higher-level return-to-performance decision-making. Expect a mix of lecture, live demonstrations, hands-on practice, and applied discussion around real athletic cases.

What You'll Learn
This curriculum is built around sports injury rehab realities: tissue healing, pain/inflammation control, smart dosing, and return-to-performance decisions you can defend.
- Understand common sports injury mechanisms and the phases of tissue healing and adaptation
- Apply evidence-based rehab principles to guide progression and decision-making
- Use TECAR therapy with stronger clinical reasoning: capacitive vs resistive modes, settings, dosing, and safety
- Build protocols for acute and subacute injuries (pain, edema, inflammation control + early mobilization)
- Treat common early-phase scenarios (ankle sprains, muscle strains, early tendinopathies) with integrated manual therapy + movement
- Prescribe and progress exercise with TECAR support (isometrics, closed-chain, early functional patterns)
- Make smarter return-to-performance decisions using criteria-based progression, readiness, and confidence
- Manage load and reduce re-injury risk (ACWR, fatigue/readiness monitoring, post-training protocols)
- Work through real case studies (ACL rehab, hamstring sprint athlete, overhead shoulder) and justify your plan
- Understand common sports injury mechanisms and the phases of tissue healing and adaptation
Course Schedule
Day 1 – Sports Injury Rehabilitation with Winback
Module focus: injury mechanisms, tissue healing, pain/inflammation management, TECAR fundamentals, acute/subacute protocols, and exercise integration.
Includes hands-on practice:
- Basic device handling + dosage selection by tissue type
- Acute/subacute applications (ankle sprains, strains, early tendinopathies)
- Workshop: TECAR + isometrics, closed-chain work, early functional movement
Day 2 – Return to Performance Optimization with Winback
Module focus: return-to-performance decision-making, functional training, load management, recovery protocols, and re-injury prevention.
Includes:
- Criteria-based return-to-performance planning + load/recovery management
- Functional training with pre/post testing strategies
